ABOUT US

Covenant’s Vision is knowing Christ and making Christ known.

Covenant’s Mission is knowing Christ and making Christ known through:

1 Corinthians 10:31 tells us “…whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.” At Covenant, we believe that any time is the perfect to time give thanks and praise to God!

We have two regularly scheduled worship services each Sunday. Our Breezeway Service meets at 9:00 AM outside of the sanctuary, facing our tranquil prayer garden and the beautiful Lake Loretta, and our traditional service meets at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary.

Several times throughout the year we hold special services including:
• Easter Sunrise Service outside in front of Lake Loretta
• Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan Sevice, a traditional Scottish blessing service complete with bagpipes and kilts
• Christmas Cantata and Christmas Eve Candlelight Services
• Youth Sunday, led by Covenant’s youth groups
• Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day Services to honor our Veterans
• Back to Church Sunday

We invite all who proclaim the faith to join us and worship Christ together!

At Covenant, we believe the Bible is the Word of God, God’s written revelation. We participate in One Year Bible Online’s reading through the Bible in a year program, and we invite you to read through it with us. We offer a variety of Sunday School classes and Small Groups for all ages to meet throughout the year, and would love for you to come study and discuss God’s Word with us. Plan to join us and experience the faith, hope, and love found in this incredible book!

At Covenant, we believe in making Christ known through missions. We organize several mission trips and numerous projects each year, on the local, national, and international level. Our facility is a certified Red Cross shelter available for local disaster assistance and we have an active volunteer group that works together when needs arise within our community.

We are partnered with The Boys and Girls Club of America, and Albany’s Young Life to minister to our local young people. Covenant members also pair up with school children for tutoring with our own Whiz Kids program. Several who are talented with a sewing machine meet in our DORCAS ministry, which sews hats and baby blankets for babies born at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Each year we host the World Missions Conference where we raise funds and learn more about what we can do to share Christ’s love through helping all of our neighbors, both near and far!

At Covenant, we believe we are all brothers and sisters in Christ! We hold several social events during the year designed to draw us closer to Christ and closer to each other as a church family.

Covenant’s children’s group, KiDs RoCk, meets weekly during the traditional school year, where they enjoy a fun bible study lesson along with music and drama. The group also goes on “mystery trips” for an exciting and fun surprise!

Ignite, Covenant’s youth group, meets weekly for bible study and fellowship, gets together frequently for service projects and mission trips, and enjoys regular special outings, including worship & praise conferences, trips to Six Flags, and a favorite- white water rafting!

We have several adult social groups, including Presbyterian Women, Men of the Church, and O.P.E.L. (Older Presbyterians Enjoying Life) who get together to socialize and serve our community through a number of fun and charitable events and activities.

Our Wednesday Night Supper meets monthly during the traditional school year and includes not only a delicious meal but also engaging programs. Additionally, the church hosts numerous special events such as a steak dinner to honor members of the Armed Services, a wild game dinner sponsored by the Men of the Church, and fish fries throughout the year.

We would love to have you to come be a part of our loving church family!
